Operation Raise A Flag
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre launched a new program called Operation Raise a Flag.
This program encourages you to purchase a small flag and add your own personal message of thanks on the flag to honour and support veterans on Remembrance Day. Flags can be purchased in two different sizes and are $20 or $50. All funds raised will go toward the Veterans' Comfort Fund and be used for equipment, computers, community outings and musical equipment to improve the lives of these veterans at the hospital.
These flags will be placed on the front lawn outside of the Veterans Centre at the hospital so that when the veterans awake on November 11, Remembrance Day they will be greeted with a complete field of red and white flags for an incredible lasting memory.
