LIVING IN CONVERTED SPACES SERIES - BARN CONVERSION

I would love to convert a barn into a home.  This was quite popular in the 60's and 70's and is now gaining popularity as a new way to reuse resources and recycle.  I particularly like the high roofline and all the dramatic open space.

Many barns are being converted now with the use of eco-friendly materials such as composite countertops, dual flush toilets, cork flooring in the bathrooms, skylights allowing natural daylighting and passive solar heat for warmth.

Converting a barn is quite a lot of work and financial commitment but the end result is an amazing home with such unique historical character.
